You’re the Student. You’re the Designer.
You get to make it happen!
The Sacred Heart Schools Design Camp is an immersive design program that teaches rising 6th through 9th grade students the foundational principles of Design Thinking and Human Centered Design. During this 5-day program (August 7 - 11), students will learn how to apply the design thinking process to generate innovative solutions to challenges related to improving accessibility and performance for Special Olympic Athletes. Students will build prototypes using the resources, tools and equipment in the Sacred Heart makers space and present their final prototypes to their project partners at the end of the week.
The program is powered by DC Design, a social impact design firm that uses the design thinking process to redesign aspects of the foster care system, implement jail reform in Santa Clara county, and teach students how to address disability related problems at Stanford University and beyond.
