The Sacred Heart Schools Design Camp is an immersive design program that teaches 6th, 7th and 8th grade students the foundational principles of Design Thinking and Human Centered Design. During this 5-day program, August 6 - 10, students will learn how to apply the design thinking process to generate innovative solutions to challenges related to disabilities. Students will build prototypes using the resources, tools and equipment in the Sacred Heart Creative Hub and present their final prototypes to their project partners at the end of the week.
The program is powered by DC Design, a social impact design firm that uses the design thinking process to redesign aspects of the foster care system, implement jail reform in Santa Clara county, and teach students how to address disability related problems at Stanford University and beyond.
